KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 149.64, while the selling rate is Rs 150.24. The euro is priced at Rs 173.12 for buying and Rs 173.81 for selling. Similarly, the UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 200.38 and a selling rate of Rs 201.19, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 190.01 for buying and Rs 190.77 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 105.89 (buying) and Rs 106.31 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.04 and Rs 109.48, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.01 and Rs 117.48 respectively.
In Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being traded at Rs 9.43 (buying) and Rs 9.47 (selling), while the Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.73 and Rs 21.82. The Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 39.45 (buying) and Rs 40.01 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.40 and Rs 41.11.
Likewise, the Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.58 (buying) and Rs 4.60 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.74 and Rs 40.91, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.98 and Rs 38.14. The South Korean won (per 100 units) stands at Rs 9.99 for buying and Rs 10.03 for selling.
European currencies such as the Swedish kronor and Danish krone are set at Rs 16.07 and Rs 23.17 for buying, and Rs 16.14 and Rs 23.26 for selling respectively. The Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 19.10 (buying) and Rs 19.17 (selling).
Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 488.60 (buying) and Rs 490.20 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 396.34 and Rs 397.93, and the Omani rial at Rs 388.68 and Rs 390.23.
The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
The central bank noted that exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required, and rates offered by commercial banks may vary. Updated rates are available on the bank’s official website.
