Unity in diversity strengthens nationalism: President Paudel



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has said that harmony among Nepal’s social and cultural diversity is key to strengthening and consolidating national unity.

In a message of greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, he expressed confidence that the festival would contribute to preserving and promoting the unique culture and traditions of the Muslim community.

“I hope this festival inspires mutual understanding, sustainable peace, and brotherhood among all Nepalis, while reinforcing a sense of broader national unity,” the message stated.

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated with joy and togetherness, as members of the Muslim community exchange greetings, offer special prayers, and set aside differences. The occasion is also marked by sharing sweets and meals, symbolizing goodwill, forgiveness, and social harmony.
