Motorcyclist dies after collision with bus in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a bus on the East-West Highway in Lalbandi Municipality-1, Bagbani in Sarlahi.

According to District Police Office spokesperson Saroj Rai, the accident occurred around 7:35 pm on Saturday when a bus traveling from Biratnagar to Kathmandu struck a motorcycle moving in the same direction.

The victim, 35-year-old Sunil Mahato of Lalbandi-1 Nawalpur, sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken by ambulance to Malangwa Provincial Hospital. However, he was declared dead at 9:00 pm.

The bus and its driver, 34-year-old Ganesh Basnet of Tulsipur Municipality-9, Dang, have been taken into police custody for investigation.
