RSP wins 21 of 26 constituencies in Lumbini Province



LUMBINI: Candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have won 21 out of 26 constituencies in the House of Representatives across the 12 districts of Lumbini Province.

According to the Election Commission Nepal, the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have won two constituencies each, while the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has secured one seat.

RSP candidates were elected from all five constituencies in Rupandehi district. Sunil Lamsal won in Rupandehi-1, Sulabh Kharel in Rupandehi-2, Dr. Lekhjung Thapa in Rupandehi-3, Kanhaiya Baniya in Rupandehi-4 and Taufiq Ahmed Khan in Rupandehi-5.

Similarly, Bikram Khanal was elected from West Nawalparasi-1 and Narendra Kumar Gupta from West Nawalparasi-2.

In Kapilvastu, Mohanlal Acharya of CPN-UML and Bikram Singh Thapa of Nepali Congress won in Kapilvastu-1 and Kapilvastu-2 respectively, while Abhishek Pratap Shah of Nepali Congress won in Kapilvastu-3.

RSP’s Devraj Pathak won in Dang-1, while Bipin Kumar Acharya and Kamal Subedi won in Dang-2 and Dang-3 respectively.

Similarly, Sagar Dhakal and Govinda Panthi were elected from Gulmi-1 and Gulmi-2.

In Bardiya, Thakur Singh Tharu and Shreedhar Pokharel were elected from Bardiya-1 and Bardiya-2 respectively. Likewise, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary and Khagendra Sunar won in Banke-1 and Banke-3.

Meanwhile, Pushpa Kamal Dahal of the Maoist Centre was re-elected from Rukum East and Barsha Man Pun was re-elected from Rolpa.

RSP’s Sushant Baidik won in Pyuthan. In Palpa, Sandeep Rana of Nepali Congress won in Palpa-1, while RSP’s Madhav Bahadur Thapa was elected from Palpa-2.

Similarly, Hari Prasad Bhusal of RSP was elected from Arghakhanchi.
