Harka Sampang takes lead as Shram Sanskriti Party leads Sunsari-1



KATHMANDU: Harkra Sampang, the candidate from the Shram Sanskriti Party, has taken an early lead in Sunsari-1, securing 12,683 votes so far, according to preliminary counting.

His nearest rival, Goma Tamang of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has received 8,498 votes. Tamang had previously lost in the 2022 elections to Ashok Rai of the JSP.

Despite a slow start, the former mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Sampang, has gradually strengthened his position. hram Sanskriti Party candidates are currently leading in five locations across the Koshi region.
