Shankar Pokharel congratulates RSP after election results

KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the CPN- UML party, Shankar Pokharel, has congratulated the entire team of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) following its strong performance in the 2025 Nepal general election.

In a message shared on social media, Pokharel said the election mandate has gone in favor of the RSP and that voters have expressed hope that “something new might happen.”

He extended best wishes to RSP’s proposed prime ministerial candidate Balen Shah and all newly elected representatives, wishing them success in fulfilling the public’s expectations.

Pokharel also thanked party leaders, cadres, and supporters who worked in his constituency, acknowledging that their efforts could not overcome the strong “wave of change” seen in this election.

He further congratulated Bipin Acharya of the RSP for his victory in Dang-2.

“Life brings both victory and defeat,” Pokharel wrote, adding that such outcomes are natural in a democratic process and urging people to remain positive and continue working toward their responsibilities.
