Harka Sampang takes early lead in Sunsari-1



KATHMANDU: Harka Sampang, chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has taken an early lead in Sunsari-1 in the ongoing House of Representatives election in Nepal vote count.

According to the latest tally, Sampang has secured 5,891 votes. His closest rival, Goma Tamang of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has received 4,809 votes.

Meanwhile, Surya Bahadur Bhattarai of the Nepal Communist Party has garnered 1,291 votes, Tikaram Limbu of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has received 964 votes, and Sujendra Tamang of the Nepali Congress has secured 898 votes.
