RSP leads in 44 of 56 constituencies in early count



KATHMANDU: Early results from Thursday’s House of Representatives election in Nepal show a strong lead for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Out of 56 constituencies where counting has started, the RSP is ahead in 44.

The Nepali Congress is leading in five constituencies, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) in four, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) in two, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party in one.

The RSP has already secured wins in Kathmandu-1 and Kathmandu-8, where Ranju Darshana and Biraj Bhakta Shrestha have established decisive leads.

Across the 15 constituencies in the Kathmandu Valley, the RSP leads in 14, and the party is showing strong leads in multiple other constituencies nationwide.
