Voting suspended at a polling center in Balara, Sarlahi

SARLAHI: Voting at a polling center in Balara-1, Sarlahi, was temporarily suspended Thursday following a clash between political representatives.

According to officials, the incident occurred at the booth where Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Amresh Singh was scheduled to cast his vote. Reports suggest a dispute broke out between representatives of the Nepali Congress and Rastriya Swatantra Party, leading to a brief altercation.

A Rastriya Swatantra Party leader said, “Polling was temporarily halted after the clash while efforts are being made to resolve the issue. The disagreement arose with Congress representatives, resulting in a minor scuffle. Other details are yet to be clarified.”
