6,300 plus temporary voters in Jhapa



JHAPA: There are a total of 6,380 temporary voters- those having original constituencies in other districts- in the district of Jhapa.

For such voters, the local authority has managed three temporary voting centres in the district that has five constituencies, according to District Election Officer Tulsi Nepal.

The temporary voters are the civil employees, prisoners and inmates, and the security personnel. They are planning to cast votes under the proportional representation system for the March 5 House of Representatives (HoR) election from the temporary voting centres.

The temporary voting centres are set up at the Office of Damak Municipality, Karmachari Milan Kendra Building in Chandragadhi and the Jhapa Prison Office.

The total number of voters in the district stands at 713,537. As many as 4,936 employees have been mobilized to conduct the voting.
