Nepal vs Kuwait match to be played in India!

KATHMANDU: Nepal vs Kuwait match under the FIFA World Cup 2020 and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers will not be played even in Bhutan.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had proposed to play the match in a neutral venue in Bhutan after AFC declared the Kathmandu-based Dashrath Stadium unsuitable for the match.

The Asian football governing body wrote to ANFA on Friday to search for another neutral venue after Kuwait expressed its difficulty to play in Bhutan, according to sources.

Now, ANFA is likely to select a stadium in India for the match.

Nepal, pooled in Group ‘B’, will take on Kuwait on November 19.
