Prachanda calls upcoming election a crucial referendum on national unity



KAPILVASTU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has described the upcoming election as a major referendum that will safeguard the Nepali people’s right to self-determination.

Addressing a party rally in Krishnanagar, Kapilvastu, on Saturday, Prachanda emphasized that the election presents a key opportunity to support forces that stand for national defense and unity. According to him, this electoral process is not just a routine political exercise but a decisive moment to determine the country’s future direction.

Prachanda claimed that the election pits forces promoting national unity against those pushing the country toward crisis. He said voters face a critical choice: to vote for parties that protect the nation and uphold unity, or opt for other alternatives.

He expressed pride that the party has created an environment where free and fair elections can be held and conveyed confidence that the outcome would be favorable for the NCP.
