Foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Wednesday).

The buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 145.23 and the selling rate at Rs 145.83. The European euro is being traded at Rs 171.10 (buying) and Rs 171.80 (selling), while the UK pound sterling stands at Rs 195.94 (buying) and Rs 196.75 (selling). The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 187.72 for buying and Rs 188.50 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is priced at Rs 102.39 (buying) and Rs 102.81 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 105.96 and Rs 106.39, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.67 and Rs 115.14, respectively.

Similarly, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.32 and the selling rate is Rs 9.36. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.11 (buying) and Rs 21.20 (selling). Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 38.71 (buying) and Rs 38.87 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 39.73 (buying) and Rs 39.90 (selling).

The Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.68 (buying) and Rs 4.70 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at Rs 39.54 (buying) and Rs 39.70 (selling), while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.30 and Rs 37.45.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.07 and the selling rate is Rs 10.11. The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.01 (buying) and Rs 16.08 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 22.90 (buying) and Rs 23.00 (selling).

Likewise, the Hong Kong dollar is traded at Rs 18.57 (buying) and Rs 18.64 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 475.38 (buying) and Rs 477.35 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 385.17 and Rs 386.77, and the Omani rial at Rs 377.25 and Rs 378.80. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

The central bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
