Foreign exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday). According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 145.28 and the selling rate at Rs 145.88.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 171.16 and the selling rate at Rs 171.87. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 195.89 (buying) and Rs 196.70 (selling), while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 187.25 (buying) and Rs 188.03 (selling).

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is set at Rs 102.91 (buying) and Rs 103.33 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.19 (buying) and Rs 106.63 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.68 (buying) and Rs 115.16 (selling).

Likewise, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.37 and the selling rate Rs 9.41. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 21.03 (buying) and Rs 21.12 (selling). The Saudi riyal is fixed at Rs 38.73 (buying) and Rs 38.89 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.86 (buying) and Rs 40.02 (selling).

Likewise, the Thai baht is set at Rs 4.68 (buying) and Rs 4.70 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 39.55 (buying) and Rs 39.72 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.22 (buying) and Rs 37.38 (selling). The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.05 and the selling rate Rs 10.09. The Swedish kronor is fixed at Rs 16.04 (buying) and Rs 16.10 (selling), while the Danish kronor is set at Rs 22.91 (buying) and Rs 23.01 (selling).

Among Gulf currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is traded at Rs 18.59 (buying) and Rs 18.67 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 475.63 (buying) and Rs 477.59 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 385.31 (buying) and Rs 386.90 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 377.84 (buying) and Rs 379.40 (selling). The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
