Srinivas Yadav joins CPN-UML ahead of elections in Rupandehi-3

RUPANDEHI: Srinivas Yadav, candidate from Rupandehi-3 for the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), has officially joined the CPN-UML ahead of the upcoming elections.

Yadav, who was also a central committee member of JSP Nepal, was welcomed into UML on Monday during a program in Bhairahawa by central members Bhumishwar Dhakal and Gumadevi Acharya, among others.

In a statement, Yadav said, “According to the prevailing law, I have registered my candidacy and visited most households of Rupandehi-3 voters as of today. Considering the sentiments of the voters and the current challenging national situation, I recognize CPN-UML as the main political force for the country’s stability and progress. Therefore, I announce the relinquishment of all responsibilities, including my general membership in JSP Nepal.”

This move comes as political realignments intensify ahead of the elections, with major parties seeking to consolidate support in key constituencies.
