BAITADI: The driver of an EV Hiace died in a road accident in Baitadi last night.
The vehicle was traveling from Khochlek toward Kalagaun in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-3 when it met with an accident near Ghodhar along the Sillegada-Badiya road section.
The driver, Madan Thagunna of Dogadakedar–5, sustained critical injuries and died during treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital, according to Baldev Badu, spokesperson of the District Police Office.
Police said the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which plunged about 250 meters off the road. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
