KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two people on the charge of selling fake gold in the capital.

A Metropolitan Police Circle, Bauddha, apprehended Min Bahadur Tamang, 23, and Pemba Tamang, 20, of Gauri Shankar Rural Municipality of Dolakha.

According to police, they were moving around in Sankhu trying to swindle people by showing a gold-plated metal embossed with ‘Fine Gold 1 KG.”

Police are investigating the case by taking them into custody, said Police Inspector Madav Chaudhary.
