Nepal Army’s new cargo plane lands at TIA

KATHMANDU: Nepal Army has brought an airplane. The medium fixed-wing bought from Indonesia landed in the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.

A letter of credit was opened in August 2017 for the purchase of the cargo plane.

Nepal Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pande informed that the cargo plane was purchased to supply disaster-related relief materials. It is also used for military training.

Nepal Army bought the plane with the call sign 235-200 at a cost of 300 million US dollars. It has 51 seats.

The plane manufactured by the KASA Company had the main flight on November 11, 1983. Turkey, France, Malaysia are some countries on the top list to buy the aircraft from this company.
