DSP Shahi falsely accused Tarun Dal leaders!



KATHMANDU: The arrest of six leaders of Nepal Tarun Dal including Nepalgunj town President Sandip Jung Shah with a pistol has taken a new turn. Nepal Tarun Dal is a youth wing affiliated to Nepali Congress (NC).

The video and audio that have been circulating in the social media platforms have raised questions if the police were involved in the incident and are trying to falsely accuse them in the crime.

Alleged audio and video claiming that DSP Hem Bahadur Shahi was involved in the incident have been doing the rounds in the social media.

DSP Shahi was transferred to Kohalpur only a few months ago. Keshar Khadka, treasurer of Banke Chapter of Tarun Dal and a local contractor, his business partner Shah and DSP Shahi had a cordial relationship in the beginning.

Through the audio and video that have been made public, it can be ascertained that the relation turned sour for not getting a goat for the Dashain festival.

It can be heard in the audio that DSP Shahi had asked for a goat for Dashain. Treasurer Khadka can also be heard of assuring to provide the goat. It can be said that the relation turned sour after Khadka failed to keep his promise.

A team led by DSP Shahi from the area police office, Kohalpur on Thursday night had raided Namaste Resort at Janaki rural municipality-6 and had made the arrest.

The pistol was said to be hidden in a false bottom in a Maruti Suzuki car, Ba 18 Cha 4211, parked to the east of the resort.

The Tarun Dal had said that police are trying to falsely accuse its leaders in the case. It has also demanded to carry out a fingerprint test on the confiscated pistol.
