Prachanda visits former Maoist conflict sites, begins door-to-door campaign in Rukum East

RUKUM EAST: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who filed his nomination from Rukum East on Tuesday, visited areas associated with the Maoist armed conflict in the district on Wednesday

Prachanda inspected the site where the Rukumkot police post was seized during the People’s War. A war museum has since been built at the location. On the occasion, he pledged to further organize and develop the site.

The NCP coordinator also launched his door-to-door campaign across various locations in Rukum East. During the campaign, he met family members of martyrs, including the mothers of martyr Sita Ghartimagar and martyr Jeevan Kaji.

While interacting with martyr families, Prachanda said the sacrifices and dreams of martyrs have not been forgotten. He stated that state-level initiatives have already begun to honor them and that he remains committed to further strengthening their rights.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, Prachanda held direct interactions with veteran communist leaders, party cadres, and local residents in Rukum East, urging them to vote for the Nepali Communist Party.
