4,527 temporary police to be recruited in Dhanusha



DHANUSHA: A total of 4,527 Election Police will be recruited in Dhanusha for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5.

The District Administration Office has invited applications from eligible Nepali citizens to be deployed across the district’s four constituencies.

The Election Police Recruitment, Selection, and Appointment Committee has initiated the application process in coordination with the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force. Applicants must be Nepali citizens aged between 18 and 54. The deadline for submitting applications is January 15.

The Election Police will serve for 40 days from the date of appointment, or as prescribed by the Government of Nepal. Assistant Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dahal stated that personnel will receive a daily allowance of Rs. 869.40, totaling Rs. 34,776 for the entire period, along with food expenses according to rates provided by the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force in the district.

The notice signed by Dahal emphasizes that preparations are underway to ensure a sufficient number of Election Police are deployed to conduct the elections in a peaceful, fair, and secure manner.

Dhanusha has a total of 414,571 registered voters. The District Election Office has established 322 polling stations and 645 polling centers across the four constituencies. Administration officials have urged voters and political parties to participate in the elections in a disciplined and orderly manner.
