NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Sunday). According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.02, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.62.

The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 168.79 and the selling rate at Rs 169.49. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.51 and sold at Rs 194.32, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.53 and a selling rate of Rs 182.29.

Similarly, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.38 and sold at Rs 96.78, the Canadian dollar at Rs 104.95 and Rs 105.39, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.93 and Rs 112.40, respectively.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.18, with the selling rate at Rs 9.22. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.59 and sold at Rs 20.68. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.40 and a selling rate of Rs 38.56, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.40 and sold at Rs 39.57.

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.58, while the UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.21 and a selling rate of Rs 39.38. The Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 35.53 and sold at Rs 35.67.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 9.96, with the selling rate at Rs 10.00. The Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.60 and sold at Rs 15.67, while the Danish krona has a buying rate of Rs 22.60 and a selling rate of Rs 22.69.

Similarly, NRB has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.48 and the selling rate at Rs 18.56. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 468.51 and sold at Rs 470.46, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 382.02 and Rs 383.61, and the Omani rial at Rs 374.08 and Rs 375.64. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates applied by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
