Shekhar Koirala holds talks with party office-bearers and district presidents on Congress’ current situation



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Dr Shekhar Koirala, has held discussions with party office-bearers, central committee members and district presidents based in Kathmandu regarding the party’s current internal situation.

The interaction was held at Dr Koirala’s contact office in Bishalnagar, where detailed deliberations took place on the prevailing political and organisational situation within the Nepali Congress.

The meeting focused on identifying solutions to the national crisis and exploring ways to steer the growing internal conflicts within the party towards a safe and constructive resolution.

The discussion also covered how coordination could be achieved between the decisions taken by the recent meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee and the proposal related to a special general convention raised by the general secretaries.

Strategies to move forward in a united manner in the upcoming general election and measures to bring together the existing factions within the party into a single framework were also extensively debated.

Party office-bearers, central committee members, district presidents and other senior leaders were present at the interaction. Participants unanimously agreed that moving forward in unity in the upcoming general election is both a necessity and a demand of the time.
