KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.09, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.69.
The buying rate of one euro is Rs 168.95 and the selling rate is Rs 169.66. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 192.40 and sold at Rs 193.20, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.22 and a selling rate of Rs 181.98. The Australian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 95.21 and a selling rate of Rs 95.60.
For Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.25 and the selling rate is Rs 9.28. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.46 and sold at Rs 20.55. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.42 and a selling rate of Rs 38.58, while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 39.54 for buying and Rs 39.71 for selling.
According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.58 and sold at Rs 4.60. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.23 and a selling rate of Rs 39.39. The Malaysian ringgit is trading at Rs 35.26 for buying and Rs 35.41 for selling.
Similarly, the South Korean won is priced at Rs 9.76 for buying and Rs 9.80 for selling. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 15.49 and a selling rate of Rs 15.55, while the Danish krone is set at Rs 22.61 for buying and Rs 22.71 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.52 and the selling rate at Rs 18.59. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 469.20 and sold at Rs 471.15, while the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 382.17 and a selling rate of Rs 383.76. The Omani riyal is trading at Rs 374.25 for buying and Rs 375.81 for selling. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, with the selling rate also set at Rs 160.
The central bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the latest updates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
