Election can clear national hurdles: Bhusal

TANAHUN: Leader of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and former minister Pampha Bhusal has said that the upcoming House of Representatives election would help remove obstacles facing national politics.

Addressing a unity assembly organized by her party in Damauli on Friday, Bhusal said the country would get back on the right track after the election scheduled for March 5, 2026. “Adverse situations will ease once the HoR election is successfully held,” she reiterated.

Bhusal confirmed that the NCP would participate in the forthcoming election but emphasized that the government must ensure an environment conducive to voting. “It is the government’s responsibility to hold a free and fair election, and all parties need to cooperate in this effort,” she underlined.

“The Gen Z protest created a chaotic situation. The March 5 election must therefore be conducted successfully. It will safeguard the constitution and put the nation back on the right track,” Bhusal added. She also stressed that the constitution, achieved through much struggle and sacrifice, must be protected.
