NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published today’s foreign exchange rates. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 144.01, while the selling rate is Rs 144.61. The buying rate for one euro stands at Rs 167.95 and the selling rate at Rs 168.65.

Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 191.43 and sold at Rs 192.23, while the buying and selling rates for one Swiss franc are Rs 179.96 and Rs 180.71 respectively.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 94.87 and sold at Rs 95.26, the Canadian dollar at Rs 103.29 and Rs 103.72, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.25 and Rs 111.72. For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.26 and the selling rate is Rs 9.30.

One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.39 and sold at Rs 20.47. The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 38.37 for buying and Rs 38.53 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.52 and Rs 39.68.

According to the bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.51. The UAE dirham is bought at Rs 39.21 and sold at Rs 39.37. One Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 34.93 and sold at Rs 35.07.

Likewise, for 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is Rs 9.83 and the selling rate is Rs 9.87. The buying and selling rates for the Swedish kronor are Rs 15.35 and Rs 15.41, while the Danish kronor stand at Rs 22.49 and Rs 22.58.

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.50 and the selling rate at Rs 18.58. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 469.39 and sold at Rs 471.34; the Bahraini dinar at Rs 381.98 and Rs 383.57; and the Omani rial at Rs 374.05 and Rs 375.61. Similarly, the buying rate for one hundred Indian rupees is Rs 160, with the selling rate set at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these rates may be revised as needed, and that commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. Updated exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
