NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for Monday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 142.84 and the selling rate at Rs 143.44.

The buying rate for one euro stands at Rs 165.64 and the selling rate at Rs 166.33, while one British pound is being bought at Rs 189.08 and sold at Rs 189.88. Similarly, the rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 177.72 (buying) and Rs 178.46 (selling).

Similarly, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 93.56 and sold at Rs 93.95; the Canadian dollar at Rs 102.22 (buying) and Rs 102.65 (selling); and the Singapore dollar at Rs 110.20 (buying) and Rs 110.67 (selling).

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.15 and the selling rate is Rs 9.18. One Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 20.19 (buying) and Rs 20.27 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 38.08 (buying) and Rs 38.24 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is traded at Rs 39.20 (buying) and Rs 39.36 (selling).

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.45 and the selling rate is Rs 4.47; the UAE dirham is at Rs 38.89 (buying) and Rs 39.05 (selling); and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.57 (buying) and Rs 34.71 (selling).

Likewise, one hundred South Korean won is being bought at Rs 9.73 and sold at Rs 9.77. The Swedish krona stands at Rs 15.11 (buying) and Rs 15.18 (selling), while the Danish krone is at Rs 22.18 (buying) and Rs 22.27 (selling).

The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 18.35 (buying) and Rs 18.42 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 465.40 (buying) and Rs 467.35 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 378.89 (buying) and Rs 380.48 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 371.50 (buying) and Rs 373.06 (selling). The rate for 100 Indian rupees stands at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

Nepal Rastra Bank noted that exchange rates may be revised as needed, and commercial banks may set slightly different rates. Updated values are available on the central bank’s website.
