PM Karki holds talks with families of ‘Gen-Z’ martyrs

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has met with families of those who lost their lives during the ‘Gen-Z’ protests on Sunday.

The discussion, held at Singha Durbar, focused on government actions taken in line with the mandate of the protest, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Led by Bhoj Bikram Thapa, the delegation of martyrs’ families urged the government to not only focus on elections but also immediately take action against corruption and arrest those who suppressed the movement. They also stressed that previously submitted 14-point demands should be implemented without delay to prevent further protests.

Prime Minister Karki and Minister Bablu Gupta assured the delegation that the government remains serious and committed to addressing the mandate of the protests and the concerns of the martyrs’ families. The meeting was also attended by Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta and Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal.
