PM Karki affirms equal respect for all religions



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Sushila Karki has offered clarification following criticism of her remarks during the launch of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.

On Sunday, through social media, Prime Minister Karki stated that she has equal respect for all religions and communities.

“During the launch of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, there have been various interpretations of my statement,” she wrote.

“It was never my intention to attack any religion or community. I have equal respect for all religions. I humbly request everyone to maintain peace, harmony, and tolerance.”
