NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 142.60, while the selling rate stands at Rs 143.20.

Likewise, one Euro is being bought at Rs 165.16 and sold at Rs 165.85. The buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is Rs 188.61 and the selling rate is Rs 189.40. One Swiss Franc is being bought at Rs 176.89 and sold at Rs 177.63.

The buying and selling rates for one Australian Dollar are Rs 93.05 and Rs 93.44 respectively, while one Canadian Dollar is priced at Rs 101.52 for buying and Rs 101.94 for selling. The buying rate for one Singapore Dollar is Rs 109.86, with a selling rate of Rs 110.32.

Ten Japanese Yen are being bought at Rs 9.12 and sold at Rs 9.16. One Chinese Yuan is priced at Rs 20.13 for buying and Rs 20.22 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one Saudi Arabian Riyal are Rs 38.02 and Rs 38.18 respectively, while one Qatari Riyal is being bought at Rs 39.13 and sold at Rs 39.30.

According to the bank, the buying rate for one Thai Baht is Rs 4.43 and the selling rate is Rs 4.44. One UAE Dirham is priced at Rs 38.83 for buying and Rs 38.99 for selling. One Malaysian Ringgit is being bought at Rs 34.51 and sold at Rs 34.66.

Likewise, the buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean Won stand at Rs 9.75 and Rs 9.80. One Swedish Kronor is being bought at Rs 15.03 and sold at Rs 15.09, while one Danish Kronor is priced at Rs 22.11 for buying and Rs 22.21 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 18.33 and the selling rate at Rs 18.41. One Kuwaiti Dinar is being bought at Rs 464.40 and sold at Rs 466.36, one Bahraini Dinar at Rs 378.26 and Rs 379.85, and one Omani Rial at Rs 370.38 and Rs 371.94. The rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has noted that these rates may be revised at any time if necessary. Commercial banks may quote slightly different rates, and the updated figures are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
