Hong Kong Super Sixes: Nepal outplayed by UAE, lose by 43 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal suffered a 43-run defeat against the UAE in Sunday’s Hong Kong Super Sixes cricket tournament.

Chasing the UAE’s target of 130, Nepal managed only 86 for four in their allotted six overs. Adil Alam top-scored with 32, while Sandeep Jora remained unbeaten on 31. Despite batting through their full quota of overs, Nepal fell well short of the target.

Batting first, the UAE had posted 129 for four in six overs. Nilansh Keswani starred with a blistering 73 off just 15 balls, striking 10 sixes and three fours.

For Nepal, Rashid Khan took two wickets, while Lokesh Bam and Rupesh Singh claimed one each. With this loss, Nepal’s journey in this season’s Hong Kong Sixes comes to an end. The UAE and Sri Lanka have now advanced to the final of the Bowl League.
