Foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 141.56, while the selling rate stands at Rs 142.16.

Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is Rs 163.61 and the selling rate Rs 164.30. The UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 185.66 for buying and Rs 186.44 for selling. Likewise, the Swiss franc is valued at Rs 175.65 for buying and Rs 176.40 for selling.

The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 91.74 and a selling rate of Rs 92.13, while the Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 100.30 and sold at Rs 100.73. The Singapore dollar stands at Rs 108.67 for buying and Rs 109.14 for selling.

According to the NRB, 10 Japanese yen are priced at Rs 9.25 for buying and Rs 9.29 for selling. The Chinese yuan is trading at Rs 19.88 for buying and Rs 19.96 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 37.74 and a selling rate of Rs 37.90, while the Qatari riyal is valued at Rs 38.84 for buying and Rs 39.00 for selling.

The Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.38 for buying and Rs 4.39 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 38.54 for buying and Rs 38.70 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is priced at Rs 33.90 for buying and Rs 34.04 for selling, while the South Korean won (100 units) is at Rs 9.70 for buying and Rs 9.74 for selling.

The Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of Rs 18.20 and a selling rate of Rs 18.28. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 461.23 for buying and Rs 463.18 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 375.49 for buying and Rs 377.08 for selling. The Omani riyal is being traded at Rs 367.67 for buying and Rs 369.23 for selling.

Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are fixed at a buying rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15.

The central bank noted that the published exchange rates are subject to change as required. Commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the latest updates can be accessed through the official Nepal Rastra Bank website.
