RSP to present four reports at extended meeting



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to begin its extended meeting from Friday in Sauraha, Chitwan, according to party leader Biraj Bhakta Shrestha. The two-day session will focus on outlining the party’s future strategy and direction, he said.

Shrestha informed that four reports will be presented during the meeting. Acting party chair DP Aryal will table the political report, while vice-chair Swarnim Wagle will present the election manifesto. Likewise, general secretary Kabindra Burlakoti will present the organizational report, and deputy general secretary Bipin Acharya will submit the candidate selection procedure report.

“The meeting will hold in-depth discussions on these reports and finalize the party’s future roadmap,” Shrestha told Khabarhub. “Central committee members will share their views, and efforts will be made to reach a common understanding.”

According to party spokesperson Manisha, all preparations for the meeting have been completed. If discussions extend beyond two days, the meeting may continue until Sunday, leaders said.

Earlier, RSP had announced plans to hold its first national convention in the first week of Falgun, but with the election scheduled for March 5, the convention is unlikely to take place before the polls.

Acting chair DP Aryal said that all reports have been finalized and are currently being printed.
