KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal has initiated steps toward collaboration and potential unification with like-minded political forces.
On Tuesday, a dialogue committee formed under the leadership of RPP Nepal Senior Vice-Chair Rajiv Parajuli formally presented a unification proposal to RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden. The meeting took place at Lingden’s residence in Lamatar, Lalitpur.
Committee member and RPP Nepal General Secretary Rajaram Bartoula described the discussions as positive, stating the talks focused on recent political developments in the country, rising polarization, and the importance of cooperation and unity among ideologically aligned parties.
“Chair Lingden has received the proposal positively,” Bartoula quoted him as saying. “He has indicated that he will discuss it within his party and provide a formal response soon.”
Representing RPP Nepal, the dialogue committee included Chairman Rajiv Parajuli and members Tej Kurungwang and Rajaram Bartoula.
