Gyanendra Shahi tells RPP leaders to end to internal factions

KATHMANDU: Amid rising internal conflicts within the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), leader Gyanendra Shahi has issued a stern warning to the party leadership to immediately halt factionalism and work towards unity.

Targeting party Chair Rajendra Lingden and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana, Shahi expressed his dissatisfaction and frustration publicly through social media. He urged the leaders to set aside personal interests and ego, emphasizing that national priorities should come first.

“Whether it is Chair Lingden or General Secretary Rana, immediately stop factional gatherings. In this situation, nationalists must stand united, not divided. If you cannot come together, you have no right to ruin the future of our youth,” Shahi said.

Shahi’s appeal highlights how ongoing disputes within RPP are casting doubts on the party’s future. Representing the younger generation, he stressed that party leaders must not weaken nationalist forces or betray public expectations.

He explicitly called for an immediate cessation of factional meetings and activities, emphasizing that the country needs unified nationalist leadership at a time when an alternative political force is crucial. Shahi warned that if the top leadership fails to reconcile, they have no moral right to jeopardize the party’s agenda or the future of its youth.
