World Cup League-2: Nepal’s losing streak continues, defeated by the US by 4 wickets



KATHMANDU: Nepal suffered its third consecutive defeat in the ongoing ICC World Cup League-2 tri-series. In the match held in Dubai on Saturday, Nepal lost to the United States by four wickets.

Chasing a target of 272 runs, the US reached the total in 49 overs. Saiteja Mukkamalla scored 75 runs, while Milind Kumar contributed 70 for the US. Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets for Nepal.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Nepal was bowled out for 271 runs in 49.5 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee top-scored with 75 runs, while Karan KC made 49, Kushal Bhurtel 47, and Bhim Sharki 43.

For the US, Harmeet Singh took three wickets, while Saurabh Netravalkar and Nosthush Kenjige claimed two wickets each. Nepal will play its next match against the UAE on Wednesday.
