Unified Socialist’s central committee meeting begins in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The third central committee meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has started in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The meeting, being held at the Miracle Venue, will continue until October 31.

Party Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal and other senior leaders have arrived at the venue to attend the session. Notably, Nepal appeared at the meeting site without government security personnel.

The government recently withdrew all security personnel assigned to the former Prime Minister.

Nepal is currently facing a corruption case at the Special Court related to the Patanjali land misappropriation scandal. He was released after posting a bail amount of Rs 3.5 million as ordered by the court.
