Security personnel assigned to former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal withdrawn



KATHMANDU: The government has withdrawn the security personnel assigned to former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal.

He had been receiving protection from 16 Armed Police Force personnel and two Nepal Police officers under the privileges of a former prime minister.

The government decided to withdraw all security personnel provided under this status. Earlier, the government had also recalled the security teams of former prime ministers KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
