Govt to hold dialogue with Gen-Z representatives and political parties on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to hold a dialogue with Gen-Z representatives and political parties on Wednesday to create a conducive environment for the upcoming elections.

According to government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, the meeting has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Minister Kharel said that representatives from various Gen-Z groups, political parties, and the government will participate in the talks. “The government is fully committed to creating an atmosphere for elections,” he told Khabarhub, adding, “We are not going into the elections by excluding any political force or ignoring the sentiments of the Gen-Z movement. The election process will move forward inclusively.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Sushila Karki had held the first round of talks with party representatives at Baluwatar, during which she proposed another round of dialogue with both the Gen-Z movement and political parties.

The proposal was later endorsed by several parties, while Gen-Z representatives also expressed readiness for formal discussions.
