Pilgrim dies of altitude sickness in Mustang



JOMSOM: A pilgrim from Lalitpur has died of altitude sickness while visiting Mustang.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Madhav Timilsina, an office assistant at Nirmal School in Bhaisipati, Lalitpur Metropolitan City–18.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chhiring Kippa Lama of the District Police Office, Mustang, Timilsina had fallen unconscious at Marpha in Gharpajhong Rural Municipality–2 after visiting the Muktinath temple.

He was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital in Jomsom for treatment but was pronounced dead later, police said.
