Country’s challenging situation must be transformed into peace and stability: Devraj Ghimire

KATHMANDU: Speaker of the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire has highlighted the need to swiftly turn the country’s current challenging circumstances, emerging in the aftermath of the Gen Z movement, into peace and stability.

In his best wishes message on the occasion of Chhath Festival, Speaker Ghimire said it was vital for all stakeholders, including the government, political parties, youth, civil society, and citizens, to work together to transform the prevailing unrest into stability.

“It is crucial for all of us to collectively commit to addressing the youth’s demands for an end to corruption and the establishment of good governance,” he stated.

Extending his greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad, Speaker Ghimire expressed hope that the festival would help eliminate social, caste, and gender inequalities while further strengthening national unity.

“I genuinely hope that the worship of the Sun God and the blessings of Mother Chhathi will inspire us to safeguard our constitutional achievements and move forward towards building a prosperous, inclusive, and well-governed Nepal,” he added.
