Prachanda urges unity and cooperation among pro-change forces

KATHMANDU: Maoist Centre Coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the need to strengthen mutual respect, social harmony, and cooperation among the pro-change forces to advance the country’s progressive agenda.

Extending his best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Chhath, a festival symbolizing faith, social unity, and gratitude toward nature, Dahal expressed confidence that unity among transformative forces would help build a prosperous, just, and socialist Nepal.

He said the message of self-confidence, patience, and optimism embodied in Chhath carries special significance in the current political, economic, and social context.

“May this festival dispel the darkness within nature and humanity, and awaken light, purity, and positive energy in everyone’s hearts. I wish that a new dawn of peace, prosperity, and stability rise in the country,” Dahal said.

Highlighting Chhath’s cultural importance, he noted that the festival—primarily celebrated in the Madhes-Terai region—is closely linked with labor, nature, and daily life, reinforcing harmony between humans and the environment while promoting balance and self-purification.
