Illegal structures alongside highway demolished

KANCHANPUR: Local authorities have started removing illegal structures built on the East-West Highway sides by encroaching upon public land at Bhimdutta municipality of Kanchanpur.

The local government has sought help from police administration to demolish illegal structures after the people ignored following frequent notices issued in the past to evacuate the areas.

Authorities said the removal of such shops and huts within the periphery of 25 meters along the highway sides from Bhanuchowk area is taking place on Monday.
