Constitutional amendment necessary to address Gen-Z demands and hold elections on time: Dahal

DHANUSHA: Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stressed the need for a constitutional amendment to ensure timely parliamentary elections and address the demands raised by the Gen-Z movement.

Speaking at a party entry program organized by the Ramgopalpur Municipal Committee on Wednesday, Dahal said the country is currently facing a complex political situation, and that holding elections is the only solution.

“There is no alternative to unity among all political parties, civil society, and citizens who support federal democratic republicanism, inclusion, identity, and rights,” he said.

Dahal also stressed the importance of addressing the concerns raised by Gen-Z activists and called for greater unity among all leftist and communist forces within the country.
