NCP lawmaker Gurung released on general date

KATHMANDU: Lawmaker of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Parbat Gurung has been released on general date.

A single bench of Kathmandu District Court judge Purneswor Upadhyaya issued the order on Sunday to release lawmaker Gurung on general date.

Gurung had earlier appeared before the court for his alleged involvement in an attack to murder case on Birdhoj Khadka at Gaushala in Kathmandu soon after the local elections.

The court had on last Wednesday issued an arrest warrant against Gurung of Dolakha in connection with an attack to murder case on Khadka, who had on May 12, 2019, lodged a complaint at the Kathmandu District Court against Gurung.
