KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for Thursday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 140.63, while the selling rate stands at NPR 141.23. Similarly, one euro is being bought at NPR 163.53 and sold at NPR 164.23.
The buying rate for one pound sterling is NPR 187.87, with the selling rate at NPR 188.67. One Swiss franc is being bought at NPR 175.73 and sold at NPR 176.48.
The exchange rate for one Australian dollar is NPR 91.68 (buying) and NPR 92.07 (selling), while one Canadian dollar is being bought at NPR 100.20 and sold at NPR 100.62. One Singapore dollar is set at NPR 108.51 for buying and NPR 108.97 for selling.
For the Japanese yen, the rate for 10 units is NPR 9.29 (buying) and NPR 9.33 (selling). One Chinese yuan is being bought at NPR 19.73 and sold at NPR 19.82. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 37.50 and a selling rate of NPR 37.66, while the Qatari riyal is exchanged at NPR 38.58 (buying) and NPR 38.75 (selling).
According to the Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is NPR 4.32, and the selling rate is NPR 4.34. One UAE dirham is being bought at NPR 38.29 and sold at NPR 38.45. The Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 33.23 for buying and NPR 33.37 for selling.
The exchange rate for 100 South Korean won is NPR 9.88 (buying) and NPR 9.93 (selling). The Swedish kronor is valued at NPR 14.83 (buying) and NPR 14.89 (selling), while the Danish kronor is being exchanged at NPR 21.90 and NPR 21.99 respectively.
One Hong Kong dollar is being bought at NPR 18.09 and sold at NPR 18.17. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at NPR 458.16 for buying and NPR 460.12 for selling. Similarly, one Bahraini dinar is exchanged at NPR 373.05 (buying) and NPR 374.64 (selling), while one Omani rial stands at NPR 365.25 for buying and NPR 366.81 for selling.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
