KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 141.60, while the selling rate stands at Rs 142.20.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European Euro is set at Rs 163.79 and the selling rate at Rs 164.48. The buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling is Rs 187.96 and the selling rate is Rs 188.76. The Swiss Franc is being bought at Rs 175.68 and sold at Rs 176.43.
The Australian Dollar is being bought at Rs 92.78 and sold at Rs 93.18. Likewise, the Canadian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs 101.03 and a selling rate of Rs 101.46, while the Singapore Dollar is being bought at Rs 109.07 and sold at Rs 109.53.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.27, while the selling rate is Rs 9.31. One Chinese Yuan is being bought at Rs 19.88 and sold at Rs 19.96. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is being bought at Rs 37.75 and sold at Rs 37.91, and the Qatari Riyal at Rs 38.85 for buying and Rs 39.01 for selling.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai Baht is Rs 4.33 and the selling rate is Rs 4.37. The UAE Dirham has a buying rate of Rs 38.55 and a selling rate of Rs 38.71. The Malaysian Ringgit is being bought at Rs 33.51 and sold at Rs 33.66.
The buying rate of 100 South Korean Won stands at Rs 9.96 and the selling rate at Rs 10.00. The Swedish Kronor is being bought at Rs 14.86 and sold at Rs 14.92, while the Danish Krone has a buying rate of Rs 21.94 and a selling rate of Rs 22.03.
The central bank has also set the buying rate of one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 18.20 and the selling rate at Rs 18.27. One Kuwaiti Dinar is being bought at Rs 461.16 and sold at Rs 463.11. The Bahraini Dinar has a buying rate of Rs 375.57 and a selling rate of Rs 377.16, while the Omani Rial is being bought at Rs 367.77 and sold at Rs 369.33. Furthermore, the buying rate for one hundred Indian Rupees is fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the most up-to-date information can be found on the central bank’s official website.
