NRB announces Thursday’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign exchange rates for Thursday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs. 141.78, while the selling rate is Rs. 142.38. Similarly, the buying rate of one euro is Rs. 164.88 and the selling rate is Rs. 165.58.

The buying rate for one British pound sterling stands at Rs. 190.04, with the selling rate at Rs. 190.85. The Swiss franc has been valued at a buying rate of Rs. 177.27 and a selling rate of Rs. 178.02.

For other major currencies, the buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs. 93.18 and the selling rate is Rs. 93.57. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs. 101.65 and sold at Rs. 102.08, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs. 109.93 for buying and Rs. 109.89 for selling.

Among Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs. 9.29 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.65. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs. 19.91 and sold at Rs. 20.00. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs. 37.80 and a selling rate of Rs. 37.96, while the Qatari riyal is at Rs. 38.90 for buying and Rs. 39.06 for selling.

Further, the Thai baht is being exchanged at a buying rate of Rs. 4.36 and a selling rate of Rs. 4.38. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs. 38.60 and sold at Rs. 38.76. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs. 33.63 for buying and Rs. 33.77 for selling.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs. 9.95, while the selling rate is Rs. 9.99. One Swedish krona is being exchanged at Rs. 15.04 for buying and Rs. 15.11 for selling. The Danish kroner has a buying rate of Rs. 22.08 and a selling rate of Rs. 22.17.

Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is being bought at Rs. 18.22 and sold at Rs. 18.30. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs. 464.09 for buying and Rs. 466.06 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is at Rs. 376.06 for buying and Rs. 377.66 for selling, while the Omani rial stands at Rs. 368.24 for buying and Rs. 369.80 for selling.

Meanwhile, the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees is Rs. 160.00, and the selling rate is Rs. 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It has also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most up-to-date information is available on the central bank’s official website.
