Two foreign tourists found dead in Nepal

KASKI: Two foreign citizens have been found dead in Kaski and Manang districts on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as German national Karl Seinj Schickel, 76, and American citizen Stephen Vaughn S.

Smith, 65, (passport no 64602745). Schickel was found dead at Lucky7 Guest House in street 2 at Lakeside of Pokhara Metropolitan City-6, while Smith died in course of trekking through the Thongla Pass at Tanki of Dingsyang rural municipality-7 in Manang district, said the police.

Smith is said to have died of a heart attack. Investigations into the death of both foreign nationals are underway, said Superintendent of Police at the State Police Office, Gandaki, Dipak Regmi.
