RSP instructs its lawmakers to return red passports to Parliament Secretariat

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has directed its outgoing Members of Parliament (MPs) to promptly return their red (diplomatic) passports and MP identity cards to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

In a statement issued on Monday morning, RSP spokesperson Manish Jha urged the party’s 21 outgoing MPs to complete the return process without delay.

The party has also instructed its leaders and members at all levels not to accept any gifts other than greeting cards during the festive season.

Reminding the public that the country is currently in mourning following the deaths of 75 people during the Gen-Z movement, the party has called for restraint in celebrations.

“This time, we request all party levels to refrain from organizing any festival-related programs using the party’s banner and flag,”the statement added.
